Strong Roots Last a Lifetime trainings are developed by highly skilled parenting educators. Topics focus on the realities families face. The plenary is followed by workshops that address topics associated with effectiveness in parenting education. This year's Strong Roots trainings include four sessions on Vicarious Trauma and one session on Early Literacy - in all new locations across New York State.

Adelphi University - Parenting Institute Training Programs 

Parent Education & Parent Guidance 2014-2015

This Post-Master's certificate program for parent educators and clinicians will study development from infancy through adolescence. Seminars focus on the development of the parent-child relationship and families. Links between each domain will be examined. A reflective supervision group meets for on-going consultation and application of knowledge.

The 2014 KIDS COUNT Data Book assesses child well-being using an index of 16 indicators, and ranks states on overall child well-being and in 4 domains. The report also compares the latest data with mid-decade statistics and identifies key policies that have contributed to improvements in child well-being. New York Thanks KIDS COUNT for 25 Years of Helping Children & Families

New York State Parenting Education Partnership is proud to be one of the signers on the celebration poster below.

The New York KIDS COUNT team and its partners salute Annie E. Casey Foundation and the KIDS COUNT network on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary edition of the KIDS COUNT Data Book.

During the past 25 years, there have been a number of positive developments in the well-being of children. The 2014 KIDS COUNT Data Book identifies key policies that have contributed to improvements in child well-being as well as daunting challenges that remain.
