NYSPEP Member Spotlight: Rebekah M. Widrick

Rebekah M. Widrick

Rebekah M. Widrick is the Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems (ECCS) Project Coordinator at the New York State Council on Children and Families. Her work involves building an integrated early childhood service system that meets the needs of young children and their families through various programs and agencies across New York State. Rebekah is also an active member of the NYSPEP Executive Committee and Co-chair for the NYSPEP New Parent Kit Workgroup.

Rebekah previously served as the Research and Evaluation Coordinator at the Early Care & Learning Council, which works to increase the quality of early care and learning in partnership with local Child Care Resource & Referral programs. She provided evaluation support and managed a Healthy Active Living grant to assist early childhood programs in implementing obesity-prevention strategies with a focus on parent engagement and community involvement.  

Rebekah holds a graduate degree in Psychology and is a published author. In her free-time, she enjoys working as a youth soccer coach for children ages 3-11 at the Saratoga Regional YMCA. Her journey through research and direct care has provided her with an understanding of the needs within the field, along with an eagerness to make a difference.
