NYSPEP is again providing grants to service providers in New York State to help increase access to evidence-based and promising parenting education programs, thanks to funding from the NYS Office of Mental Health. A limited number of grants, up to $2,000 each, are available.
In awarding these grants, NYSPEP is interested in:
1. How the funds will help increase access, decrease barriers, to participate in parenting programs.
2. How the funds can be used with other funding and/or a collaboration, to accrue more value.
3. Evidence the funded program makes a positive difference in parents’ lives, e.g., increases their confidence or decreases stress.
Grant funds are to be used during the 10 month period from December 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015. Written reports that include expenditure detail, resulting increase in access, and evidence of positive change, will be due a month after the end of the project period.
Applications are due October 22, 2014.
