January is National Mentoring Month!

"Whether a day is spent helping with homework, playing catch, or just listening, these moments can have an enormous, lasting effect on a child's life," states President Obama's proclamation recognizing January as National Mentoring Month. In its ninth year, National Mentoring Month calls attention to the importance of mentoring programs, many of which engage older adults as mentors to youth.
